There are many times in our life when we need additional help to deal with problems. A suitably trained and qualified counsellor will not only to listen to your problems, but will also help you to facilitate the changes needed to improve whatever situation you present with.

Counselling offers the opportunity to talk to someone professional and non-judgemental in a confidential setting. It enables you to gain new insights into your problems and to look at ways to facilitate change. A wide range of difficulties can be helped through counselling, including: depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, family or relationship problems, bullying, trauma, former or current abuse, management of anger and coping (for example) with serious illness or disability. This list is not exhaustive, so please contact me to discuss other problems that can be helped by counselling.

I am a Humanistic, Integrative counsellor. My approach is based on the relational model and I believe that the therapeutic relationship between a counsellor and client is paramount. My qualification is based on the integration of a number of psychotherapeutic paradigms, and I am therefore able to fit my way of working to an individual client, rather than the reverse. In addition to the Humanistic model (Transactional Analysis, Person-Centred, Gestalt), I am also trained in psychodynamic counselling and CBT. I am a member of BACP, and a CCC Registered Counsellor.

Experience
Among the conditions that I can help with are: relationship problems, anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, bullying, workplace issues, sexual abuse and worry.

Fees
£35 - £40 per session.
Assessment £25.
