As a Senior Accredited Counsellor and Accredited Supervisor, I have a lot of varied experience and have worked full time as a counsellor since 1993. I work with individuals, couples and groups of all ages and cultures on all kinds of different issues.
When I first meet someone who seeks counselling, I always meet with them first to see if we both feel comfortable to work together. I allow time for us to decide if we want to work with each other, so we don't decide there and then. I do this because counselling is a commitment and needs to feel right. If we do we agree a way of working, we go from there, with an outline of how we will proceed. This will include regular reviews of our work. This is so we go along in a clear way.
I work in a lovely setting which is completely self contained with a separate driveway. I also offer supervision for experienced counsellors and supervisors.
