Simon Armson trained in cognitive analytic psychotherapy at Guys Hospital. He has a private clinical psychotherapy practice in London and Berkshire and also works as an executive coach. In addition he is a Mental Health Act Commissioner and is a Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal. He was on the staff of Samaritans for twenty years, fifteen of which was as Chief Executive and he was an active Samaritan volunteer for thirty-one years. He has been a member of many academic and government working groups in the field of mental health, with a particular emphasis on suicide prevention and self-harm.
