I offer a counselling relationship that can help unravel the kind of difficulties most of us face at some stage in our lives. I will work with you to develop an understanding of the issues that are important to you. Many people find counselling allows time and space to explore new ways of responding to life's challenges.
As a Humanistic counsellor, my approach is to focus on what is happening for you in the here-and-now. This might also involve exploring unresolved issues or old habits from your past which could be affecting how you relate to the present. I will listen to you without judgement and offer a supportive and understanding service in a safe and confidential environment.
I have experience of working with people (and their carers) affected by physical disability and mental health problems and have a particular interest in offering counselling to people facing difficulties associated with low self-esteem, relationship issues, anger, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss.
I practise long and short-term counselling for adults. My rooms are located adjacent to Preston Park railway station in Brighton. Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and are held on a weekly basis. Appointments are available during the day and in the evening. The first consultation is a free, introductory session in which we will have the opportunity to discuss any questions you might have about counselling and to decide whether we can work well together.Qualifications & Training Post-graduate Diploma in Humanistic Therapeutic Counselling - University of Brighton
