My style of counselling is integrative, with the person-centred relationship at the heart of establishing a sense of safety, trust and respect. Other influences in my practice include systems theory and constellations work, short term solution-focused work, coaching techniques, existentialism and spirituality.
Following the initial meeting, I offer a 6 week 'block' of sessions followed by a review whereby we can agree together what happens next. Counselling sessions are normally held weekly at the same time. The overall length of counselling can be either short or longer term depending on your particular needs.
I work from two locations in Bristol:
Greenbank - ideally placed close to the city centre and surrounding areas, and there is plenty of free on street parking. There are also mainline bus routes and the cycle path close by.
Redland (Wednesdays at present, although this may be open to negotiation depending on need). There is free parking on the adjoining roads and it is close to mainline bus routes.Qualifications & Training PG Diploma in Counselling - 1999
