People describe me as warm and empathic, someone with whom they can feel quickly at ease. My aim is to offer a relationship in which I work hard to understand, accept and journey-with an individual, taking care not to judge, direct or criticise - always remembering that however I try, I can never know what it is like to live another person's life.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that you as client, are the only expert of yourself and my role is to help you find or rediscover your own sources of hope from which new meaning, growth and change can emerge.

Influences in my practice include systems theory, the legacy of trauma, also spirituality. I have significant work experience in business, also employment facilitation, addiction recovery and restorative justice. Professionally trained at Bristol University, I am doing research towards a Masters degree in Counselling.

Please feel free to call me 07717716532 (with private message service) or 0117 968 2153 (home) anytime between 8am & 9pm. If I don't pick up you can leave a message if you decide to and I'll come back to you as soon as I can.

Working with individuals and organisations: facets of my practice are informed by a former business career which I believe helps me understand some of the unintended effects of intense and prolonged work pressure. I have also worked as an employment facilitator; as key-worker supporting men recovering from addiction; in floating support for tenancy retention; with those defined as 'victims' in a restorative justice setting and as a counsellor with stroke-affected individuals and their families.

I work with organisations who always aim to adopt best-practice with regard to supporting staff through work or personal issues, but may not be the size or have the budget to employ their own counsellors. I offer a professional, fast-response low-cost staff counselling service that is deeply rooted in understanding, acceptance and respect for both organisations and individuals.
