I have run a private psychotherapy practice since 1994 in Slough and Bristol, training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling (BCPC) from 1989 to 1997. Although trained as a psychotherapist, I also have considerable experience of working in Primary Care, having worked in GP surgeries since 1994. I am a member of Counsellors & Psychotherapists in Primary Care.
Psychotherapy is usually conducted under an open-ended contract, but short-term work is also possible. Using psychotherapy, you can explore all kinds of life issues in a safe and confidential space. In our initial meeting we can establish the basis of our work together. Sessions are normally arranged on a weekly basis, but other arrangements can be negotiated.
I have been supervising counsellors in private practice and in Primary Care since 2000, and am in supervision training with the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD), working towards completing their Diploma in Supervision in 2012.
