At times in life it can help to talk confidentially to a complete outsider who will listen attentively to your point of view. I offer understanding and acceptance, helping you to develop insight and feel at ease with yourself.
Weekly 50 minute sessions are tailored to your individual needs and can be either short or long term depending on the nature of your concerns. Shorter term work (6-12 weeks) is solution focused, looking at ways to make things better. Longer term work is more effective where problems are deep seated, and can help you achieve a more sustained improvement in the quality of your life. In the counselling relationship we may look back to your past, but only in order to improve your present and future.
My particular areas of expertise include:
Recovery from childhood abuse and trauma.
Destructive family cycles; relationships.
Depression, anxiety, panic attacks.
Self esteem; self confidence; self acceptance.
Living with and beyond cancer & serious illness.
Postnatal depression; menopause
Working with the body, relaxation and meditation
I work in Bristol (BS8 & BS6) and in a peaceful rural location in North Somerset -15 minutes from Bristol city centre - and provide flexibility by offering daytime and evening appointments.Qualifications & Training BA Hons
