Person-Centred Counselling can help you to explore and express your emotions and feelings. I may also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy if we feel it will be of use to you. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help you to look at your thoughts and expectations to overcome your emotional problems. The key aspects of these types of therapies are:

  • The focus is on you - I provide an empathic and non-judgemental space in which you will be listened to.

  • Your own choices - Person Centred theory believes you are the expert about your own life. I will work with you to help you get a better sense of what you want to do or achieve in your own life.

  • Your space - family or friends may be a good source of support but many people feel it is also very helpful to speak to someone entirely unrelated.

  • Time for your mind - I believe an individual's mental well-being is as important as their physical well-being,but it is often neglected.
