I am a counsellor & therapist who offers safe, professional, friendly and confidential counselling for adults and young people in the Chester area presenting with various issues including:

    I work both with short-term therapy (typically 6-12 sessions), and also more long-term for those who have more complex difficulties. This will be discussed during your intial session, but there is always flexibility in the way we work together and can be reviewed at any time.

    I am qualified member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

    Qualifications & Training

  • BSc (Hons) Degree in Psychology.
  • Diploma in Psychology.
  • Introducation to Counselling.
  • Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling.
  • Trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focussed Therapy.
  • Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Level 1 and 2 Domestic Abuse Training
  • Annual Safeguarding Children Training
  • Trained in the use of Psychometric Testing.
  • Attachment and Trauma Training.
  • Webster Stratton Parenting Training
  • Surviving Teenagers Training

    Experience
    I have a total of 10 years experience working with children, young people, adults and families. I have 5 years experience in a private setting and 3 years NHS experience, as well as 2 years voluntary experience working within a charity setting with clients presenting with complex issues.

    Fees
    Fees are from £35-£50 per 50 minute session for individuals and £50 per session for families. I operate a sliding scale for OAPs, students and those who have financial difficulties.

    As long as 24 hours notice is given I do not charge for appointments that are cancelled.
