I am a Human Givens therapist. We are trained to focus on helping clients to get their emotional needs met by using their natural resources in more effective ways. Because humans are by nature superb problem solvers, a human givens therapist will not try to solve your problems for you but empower you to solve them for yourself. He or she will do this by using a wide range of techniques based on up-to-date findings from psychology and neuro-biology.

I am in private practice working mainly in York (where there is a good Park and Ride service) but I can also arrange sessions at my home in Pocklington, near Beverley. I usually begin with a preliminary session of about an hour in which client and therapist can get to know each other a little and discuss possible approaches. Further sessions may take anything from an hour to an hour and a half, depending on what is needed. Length of therapy varies from a couple of sessions to several months depending on the complexity of the client's requirements. The average is about five.

Fees
£50 preliminary session.
£60 each follow-up session (concessions can be arranged in cases of need).
