I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field in voluntary and statutory organisations. Working as a Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist in a Tier 3 NHS CAMHS team has enabled me to understand complex psychological problems in children and young people.

Originally from Spain where I trained as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Salamanca, I developed an interest in working with young people that lead me to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT for Eating Disorders, and later on to specialize in the field of Early Psychosis. Additionally, I have completed a Master in Research in Mental Health (University of Manchester) and a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT at London Metropolitan University.

Currently, I am a committee member of the Child And Family Special Interest Group (CAFSIG) within BABCP. I am particularly interested in developing CBT training courses and supervision for mental health practitioners working with young people. Other projects include helping in writing and delivering a basic CBT training program for mental health professionals, medical missioners and social workers from Tanzania. Recently, I collaborate in the teaching and supervision of CBT in Anglia Ruskin University where I am employed as a Senior CBT Lecturer.
