I offer specialist hypnotherapy and hypno-psychotherapy, informed psychological therapies that are designed for each individual, in order to achieve fast and effective strategies for desired change.
I have a Post Graduate University-level accredited course in hypno-psychotherapy in a training school which is longest registered and one of the only hypnotherapy institutions to be regulated by the UK Council for Psychotherapy as a Training Member and other psychotherapy bodies (please see accreditations).
My approach to my hypno-psychotherapy practice is to offer a client centred approach, tailoring techniques and methods to clients needs in an affordable, open environment. Centrally, I focus upon values of;
Individuality: Everyone is different and every individual responds to and has different needs when they seek changes. My aim is to find the best way forward for you and offer you the chance and freedom to grow. I am informed by multiple perspectives on psychotherapy and will work closely with you in an open, supportive, empathic and respectful practice.
Freedom: Too often we feel defined by the past, by anxieties, loss of confidence and personal traumas. Hypnotherapy can bring back a sense of freedom and relaxation from stresses, pressures and concerns. Hypnotherapy can seek to challenge past feelings, old conceptions and find new ways to freedom. Theorists believe that trance and altered states of consciousness allow for greater freedom, spontaneity, bypassing inhibitions and repression in a therapeutic setting. Hypnosis is also a practice which can be developed by the individual, where self-hypnosis is learnt, enhancing an individuals' ability to relax and go into a focussed state and find strategies to enhance their life.
Growth: During this state of relaxation, hypnotherapy can assist you in finding inner guidance, to challenge conceptions, fears and opposing motivations. Milton Erickson, a pioneer of hypnotherapy believed many resources and potentials lay in our unconscious that could be challenged, reconfigured and brought to the forefront of change. Hypno-psychotherapeutic models and techniques assist the individual in understanding and instigating the changes they desire to make for themselves.
