I practice CBT and have extensive experience in treating a range of psychological problems and disorders in the NHS and private practice.
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and registered with the HPC (Reg: PYL22202).I qualified as a clinical psychologist at Manchester University and I hold a PhD from the Institute of Psychiatry, London awarded in 1977. I have been practicing, researching and teaching psychological treatments, mainly CBT, for over 30 years. I am currently Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester and Head of the Division of Clinical Psychology. I am an acknowledged expert in CBT and a past Chair and Honorary Fellow of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).
