Before I qualified as a counsellor I completed a Psychology degree and then worked within the finance industry for 6 years. Following qualification I worked within education with children and teenagers.
I now work weekdays, evenings & weekends as a private counsellor and work for the NHS in a GP surgery as a Practice Counsellor. I am a member of the BACP and receive regular supervision and continuing professional development and follow the BACP guidelines and code of ethics. I am also a member of the Faculty of Healthcare Counsellors & Psychotherapists (FHCP) and Assocation for Independent Practitioners (AIP).Qualifications & Training BA Hons Psychology (2:1).
Introduction to Counselling.
Certificate in Person Centred Counselling.
Diploma in Advanced Studies Counselling (Person Centred).
NLP for professionals.
Certificate in CBT (tbc July 2010).Experience Experience of working with all age groups and a wide range of issues within a GP's surgery during training and to date; experience of working with a range of issues with children and young people within education; experience of working within a private counselling setting; experience of using NLP techniques to aid relaxation and manage anxiety & phobias.Fees £35 per session (£30 concessions).
