I have experience of working with adults, young people and their families & carers as a psychotherapist, counsellor and outreach (home-based) worker within a variety of settings (including prisons, hostels and shelters).
Services Offered:
Individual counselling and psychotherapy (time limited and open ended work) for adults and young people.
Supervision for counsellors in training and qualified counsellors/psychotherapists at all levels.
An Integrative Approach:
I believe we all have times when we need some extra support and also times when we are aware that we need to change to feel better about ourselves. This can be really hard to do alone - therefore, I offer the time for you to focus on what you really need to create a better sense of wellbeing and support you through taking the steps to heal in your own timescales. I can help you identify and change problematic out-dated patterns that were developed in early life that helped you cope with difficult life experiences at that time (hat may still be present today, but are creating problems for you). I work with an integrative approach to therapy that provides the opportunity to explore personal developmental experiences within the safety of a therapeutic relationship.
Some people prefer a time limited approach of focussing on a specific issue within an agreed number of sessions, or it could be an issues connected to more deeply rooted difficulties that may require open ended therapeutic work that allows for more gradual healing.Qualifications & Training BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling
