Since gaining a Diploma in Counselling in 1994 I have worked in Rehabilitation, Primary Care, and University settings. I have also worked for a Psychodynamic Counselling Agency where I assess clients coming into the service. In 2005 I gained an MSc in 'Counselling and Psychotherapy as a Means to Health' from Surrey University. I am an independent private practitioner and also train student counsellors. I see people with a wide range of personal, emotional and relationship difficulties. There are times in most people's lives when difficult present circumstances leave them feeling unable to cope. So, if you feel isolated, anxious or depressed; if you feel de-motivated and unable to function at your optimum level; if you feel you have unfulfilled potential; if you have had some traumatic experience (for example, bereavement or loss) and feel unable to put it behind you; then talking through your worries or problems in the safety of a confidential counselling relationship may help you to understand and make sense of what you are experiencing and allow you to get on with your life. |
