I offer skilled support in a safe confidential place in which to talk. Counselling can help you to understand yourself more, to unravel difficulties and help you to move on. Sometimes, short-term (time-limited), work is indicated to focus on a specific problem, and this may lead to long-term (open-ended) work to explore deeper issues, depending on individual need.

My Psychodynamic orientation is a way of exploring how past experiences can impact on present difficulties. CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) can help to recognise the links between thoughts, feelings and behaviour and to promote change.

I am committed to on-going Continuing Professional Development and have regular supervision to reflect my practice.

I am BACP accredited (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a UKRCP registered Independent Counsellor (UK Register for Counsellors and Psychotherapists).

Qualifications & Training
I trained with Herts and Beds Counselling Foundation for 5 years, gaining the Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling in 2004. I have a Post-Qualifying Certificate in CBT Skills, gained from Westminster Pastoral Foundation in 2008.

Experience
My past experience includes Nursing and Health Visiting. As well as working in my private practice, I work as a counsellor in GP surgeries.

Fees
