I am a UKCP registered Systemic Child and Family Psychotherapist with substantial experience within the NHS. I have 20 years experience of working with children with extreme behavioural problems at home and school, helping them and their parents to come to a better understanding of the complexities that underlie extreme behaviour. I have devised a new clinical therapy for helping parents and children (Reflective Interpersonal Therapy for Children and Parents: RICAP) which has been evaluated for clinical efectiveness and proved successful. I have just had a book published by Wiley (April 2008) describing the research and theoretical models underpinning this intervention. The emphasis is on increasing the child's reflective capacity and in enabling the parent to understand the mind of the child. I also work with individuals, couples and families. My initial qualification is as a Systemic Family Therapist.Qualifications & Training Registered Systemic Child and Family Psychotherapist, UKCP 1996
