I believe that counselling is a process facilitated by a caring and non-judgemental professional where you can create better coping mechanisms and work on your personal development. Counselling enables you to develop a clearer understanding of yourself and a better awareness of your emotional responses to personal, professional, physical or relationship difficulties.
My approach is person-centred and integrative. This enables the client to deal with their issues in ways that are best suited to them. This can also promote positive growth and self belief.
I work privately and for the NHS in a fertility clinic. I am also a lecturer for the Open University. I teach on a course which promotes a holistic approach to mental health.
I hold a counselling Diploma (HE) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Psychology.
I am a registered member of BACP and BICA and abide by their codes of ethics.
I attend training for professional and personal development on a regular basis.
