I commonly provide therapy to adults who are coping with depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties, family conflicts, sexuality (including gay and lesbian issues), low self-esteem.

I provide a safe and confidential environment, where you can explore things that are troubling you, without fear of being judged or criticised.

My therapeutic approach aims to help you explore and understand the less obvious, unconscious, aspects of your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. I believe that gaining insight into the nature of underlying emotional conflicts can bring a sense of relief, and opens up the possibility of changing unhelpful patterns, which were previously repeated without self-awareness.

Qualifications & Training
I hold the WPF Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, together with the WPF Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and a MA in Psychodynamic Studies from the University of Roehampton.

I am registered as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and am a professional member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am also a full member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC),and the Forum for Independent Psychotherapists (FIP) whose code of ethics and a complaints procedure I abide by.

Experience
In addition to my private practice I have clinical experience in various mental health settings: having worked as as a psychotherapist in the NHS, and as a counsellor for WPF Therapy, CIC (Counselling in Companies), Mind, and the national bereavement service, Cruse.

I am an international affiliate therapist for ComPsych, and a delegate to the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I also lead and teach on workshops for WPF Therapy and other counselling and psychotherapy trainings across the UK.

Fees
Initial consultations are charged at £75 per session. Thereafter, if we decide to work together, regular sessions of 50 minutes duration are charged at £55 per session.

I do keep some reduced-fee places available for those who are unemployed or on very low incomes. There may be a wait for such a place to become free, however.
