I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and hold a BA (Hons) degree in psychology and an MA degree in psychotherapy & counselling. My 18 years of clinical experience have been gained working in an NHS psychiatric hospital, a community based therapy organisation and in private practice. I also teach and provide supervision to training psychotherapists on the MA, Advanced Diploma and PhD programmes at Regents College School of Psychotherapy.
My clinical practice is based on an integrative model of psychotherapy in which I integrate psychodynamic concepts & formulations with a phenomenological & dialogic approach to working with clients. However, I strongly believe that the effectiveness of psychotherapy occurs because of the therapist-client relationship rather than the theoretical model used by the practitioner.
Some of the emotional & psychological difficulties I have worked with include: depression, anxiety & panic attacks, diminished self esteem, issues around sexuality, impotence, gender reassignment, childhood sexual abuse and early emotional neglect, grief & loss, personality disorders, OCD, eating disorders, drugs & alcohol addiction.Qualifications & Training BA (Hons) Psychology, MA Psychotherapy and Counselling.Experience 18 years of clinical experience in three settings: NHS psychiatric hospital, community based psychotherapy centre and private practice.Fees £60.00 for a 60 minute session.
