Deciding to seek therapeutic help can be very daunting, and it can be hard to know whom to trust. I am a professionally qualified and experienced therapist based right in the centre of London.
People seek counselling and psychotherapy for a broad range of difficulties, including:
loss, including bereavement, divorce or redundancy
anxiety, panic and stress
difficulties at work
relationship problems, destructive or unhelpful partnerships
low self-esteem, depression, self-harming, or suicidal thoughts
issues of sexuality, including sexual orientation, sex, body image and eating disorders
a sense of shame, jealousy and envy
I suggest that, in the first instance, we meet for an initial session, at which we can discuss your situation and needs, and whether psychodynamic work is suitable for you. If we both feel that it could be helpful, we would fix a regular time to meet each week. I work from easily accessible, comfortable and spacious rooms two minutes' walk from Oxford Circus tube station.Qualifications & Training I undertook my professional training at WPF Counselling & Psychotherapy, which is accredited by both BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and holds a deserved reputation for clinical and academic excellence. I hold the WPF Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies accredited by the University of Roehampton. I am a full member of WPF's graduate organisation, The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling, and am a member of BACP, which is the UK's largest professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists, and ensures all its members are appropriately trained and qualified, as well as being registered with UKCP. The Foundation is an organisational member of UKCP.Experience I have worked in the field of mental health for the last six years and also work as an honorary adult psychotherapist in an NHS psychotherapy clinic.Fees Initial session £60. Ongoing work between £40 and £80 per session.
