I work both with both the conscious element of personality by assisting appropriate behavioural changes and with the unconscious so that reasons for our feelings, thoughts and behaviours may be understood and change at core level attained.

The issues that I work with include:

  • Lack of self esteem or confidence
  • Redundancy
  • Depression
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Changes in behaviour
  • Anger
  • Relationship challenges
  • Sexual or sexuality issues
  • Internalised self dislike
  • Homophobia
  • Sexual orientation
  • Conflict resolution
  • Phobias
  • Personal development and growth
  • Bereavement
  • Drug, alcohol or other dependencies
    and many more

Professional Bodies: I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am registered as a Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH).

    Qualifications & Training
I hold a Diploma in Transpersonal and Integrative Psychotherapy from the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE); a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH), have a degree in law (LLB) and have worked as a solicitor in the City of London for many years. I adhere to the rules of professional conduct for UKCP, BACP and BSCH.

    Experience
In addition to my private practice as a psychotherapist I also hold an honorary contract with the NHS working in a secure mental health unit in south London. In addition I am a trustee and director of a small charity called Freshstart Psychotherapy.

    Fees
The fee payable for the first session (the assessment) is £45 for every client. The standard fee thereafter will be between £45 and £65 per session depending on the time of day for the regular appointment. Evenings (after 4 pm) and weekend appointments are more expensive than daytime ones. Up to date fee scales are given on my website.

A discount may be available to psychotherapy students (who are usually charged bewteen £35 and £40 per session), members of equity, those serving with the emergency or armed services and those on low incomes for certain daytime appointments only. A discount of 2.5% will be made where a minimum of 10 full fee sessions are paid for in advance in one payment.

Payment is in cash or by cheque. I do not accept credit or debit cards.
