I aim to:
Offer a confidential, non-judgemental service that is warm and accepting.
Give the client the opportunity to express themselves as freely as they would like to.
Help the client to make sense of what they are experiencing.
Offer a service that is welcoming to all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, politics, culture.
I abide by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework, and maintain confidentiality according to boundaries laid out therein. I hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau certificate.
I am based in the Shoreditch/Hoxton area in London, at 64 Great Eastern Street, which is a 3 minute walk from Old Street Station, an 8 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station, and a 10 minute walk from Moorgate Station.Qualifications & Training I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I am working towards BACP accreditation. In addition I am currently training to become a support worker in the substance misuse field.Experience As a therapist I have worked with clients on the following issues:
Bereavement and loss
Relationship and marital issues
Feelings of depression
Domestic violence
Anger, anxiety and stress
Jealousy
Sexuality, sexual dysfunction
Work-related issues, including bullying
Substance misuse
Self-esteem
I have worked with local charities for over two years, offering low-cost counselling to the community.Fees £50 per hour, concessions available.
