Hello. I am a psychotherapist and counsellor and I work with the existential approach. That means that I endeavour to explore your meaning, choices, freedom, responsibility, and your outlook on life. I offer a space for self reflection and an arena for self development. Therapy can offer clients a safe, non-judgmental space to face their difficulties with a qualified professional. As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I abide by their ethical guidelines. I work with individuals and couples. I offer face-to face counselling sessions as well as telephone counselling and video conferencing (skype) for people unable to leave their homes.

My main area of specialism is working with anticipatory grief and bereavement. I have spent many years working with cancer patients and their families and carers. I also work with issues including: low self esteem, relationship issues, work issues, confidence and self worth, stress, anxiety, suicide and self harm issues, abortion and loss, adoption and family issues, abuse and identity issues. Please feel free to call or email me for more details. May I take this opportunity to wish you courage and strength with your difficulty.

Qualifications & Training
Introduction to Counselling Skills and Theory.
Extra Mural Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory.
Post graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Masters in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Experience
I have volunteered for many years in Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital working with cancer patients, their families and carers. This work is anticipatory grief and bereavement.

I also volunteered for 3 years in the Inner Circle Therapy Centre in Regent Park, where I saw clients presenting with relationship issues, suicide issues, abuse, identity issues, work and family issues, adoption, abortion and loss, and other issues.

I set up my private practice and since then have seen many clients experiencing bereavement and loss. I have also been working with clients who are experiencing low self esteem and self worth, relationship difficulties, school and work issues, and anxiety and stress.

I started working with clients in 2005 and since then have gained much experience. I also have a network of colleagues that I can refer you on to should we be unable to work together.

Fees
I offer a sliding scale to my clients. I understand that due to the currrent financial climate any outgoings can cause stress. For this reason I decide with my clients what they can afford. My general fee for individual therapy is £35 per session, however I do offer low cost therapy for students and people who have no or little income. Please call me so we can discuss your individual situation.
