I am the Senior Counsellor in a further education college where I manage the counselling department, counsel students and staff as well as supervising the counselling team and mentoring staff. I also work as a Staff and Student University Counsellor and work with Employee Assistance Providers. I have private practices in Pinner and in Northwood. I work with individuals, couples, parents and teenagers, young people (12+) and with groups. I also provide counselling, supervision and mentoring to private companies, organisations, within education and to voluntary organisations. I am a qualified Trauma Debriefer and Practioner Mentor, working with individuals who have been involved in traumatic incidents and with companies whose employees have been affected by trauma. I have worked with victims of armed robberies, aeroplane accidents, rail crashes, road accidents, domestic violence, prison riots and many other traumatic incidents. I am a qualified Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practioner. EMDR can often enable those suffering from trauma and/or Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome to process and 'normalise' their experience(s), thus enabling them to leave their trauma behind and move forward in their lives, gaining inner peace.
