I offer a practical and common sense approach to a wide range of issues. While I have an extensive background in yoga, meditation and Eastern philosophy (I lived in ashram in India for five years) when it comes to therapy my approach is very much evidence-based and down to earth.

The approach is very collabarative looking at issues as situations where new skills and problem solving need to be applied. We don't spend much time on the past but rather on the present moment because in the here and now is the point of power for change.

I believe in empowering clients by giving them skills to handle their lives better and my aim is that every client leaves as their own therapist - able to assess and tackle their issues and challenges themselves.

Much emphasis therefore is spent on learning relaxation skills, emotional self-regulation, self-hypnosis and assertiveness. I particularly make use of hypnosis to have clients rehearse their improvements in target situations until those improvements become new positive habits.

Therapies I use:
Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Applied Neuromuscular Relaxation
Mindfulness
Assertiveness
