When you're ready to begin counselling it's important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with. I offer initial appointments where we will explore your needs, reasons for seeking help and what you hope to gain from counselling. During this time I will ask you questions, explain the process and answer any questions that you might have. Giving you a chance to get a feel for the work and me, so you can decide if you're comfortable to continue.

Qualifications & Training
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a widely known and respected professional body, and adhere to its strict code of ethics, standards of practice and confidentiality. I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Psychology degree from the University of Oregon.

Experience
I began working as a counsellor in 2000 and have experience working with a diverse clientele group in various settings, including the NHS and primary schools working with children. During this time, I have also developed specialist knowledge of parenting issues in particular to parenting twins and multiples.

Before this I worked extensively with men and women who've experienced childhood sexual abuse - providing educational workshops to survivors and their partners as well as running support groups and drop-in groups.

Fees
Initial consultation (60 - 90 minutes) - £45.
Ongoing weekly sessions (50 minutes) - from £45.
Availability of a concessionary rate would be discussed during initial consultation.
