I have a comfortable room in my home just off Green Lanes in North London where you will be very welcome. A safe place in which you will be respected, supported and understood. A place in which you could begin a process that could change your life. I'm only 10 minutes walk from Manor House Station on the Piccadilly Line in N15. If you cannot make it to North London I also have a room near Bank / Monument Station, in the City (EC3).
The form of counselling I use is called 'Person Centred'. It is not based on rigid 'one size fits all' techniques or doctrine and I will not be telling you what I think you should or shouldn't do. Instead, I focus on who you are as a person, try to understand your specific situation, discover what you want from life and support you in any changes you need to make to help you reach your full potential. I will endeavour to provide a safe space to help you to explore and develop your understanding of yourself whilst also creating a genuine empathetic dialogue between us and offering my honest perspective in a trusting, caring and confidential environment.Qualifications & Training BSc. Combined Psychology and Sociology from London Guildhall University.
B.A.C.P Accredited Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde.Experience I have been a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy since 1999 and my therapeutic work is conducted in accordance with their 'Codes of Ethics and Practice'.
Please remember that there are no right or wrong reasons to come to counselling. If you want to talk but don't have someone you can talk to, or you don't want to worry or burden those closest to you, then counselling could be your best way forward. Fees I charge £40 for a session, but if you are on a low income I will reduce the price. I only charge £30 to students and those working, or who have worked, in the Armed Forces. The minimum contract is for six weeks.
