Patricia McEntee, MA ADIP UKCP (Reg) is a highly qualified and experienced integrative psychotherapist working in private practice and in the NHS, with individuals and couples and as a supervisor.
As an Associate Lecturer at the University of Surrey, Patricia lectures on Psychodynamic Theory, highlighting clinical applications and also supervising trainees in psychodynamic placements.
Patricia has a long history of working in the private and public sectors and has a particular interest in people struggling with anxieties, conflicts and concerns about complex behaviours while trying to maintain a stable working and/or family life.
A personal statement...
My approach while relying on contemporary psychodynamic theories, freely uses methods from other therapeutic schools of thought - CBT, humanistic, extentialist, relational and psychoanalytical. The help that I offer ranges from short-term psychotherapy, focused on a specific problem such as a major life change or bereavement, to open-ended psychotherapy which is a deeper personal exploration. My aim is to help people to come to know and accept themselves, and to find their own meanings and ways through their questions and difficulties.
