My areas of interests include depression, relationship problems, anger management, bereavement, lack of sense of self and purpose, feelings of loneliness, isolation and emptiness, sexual problems, stress.

My therapeutic approach relies on empathy, authenticity and unconditional acceptance within a Lacanian/Freudian psychoanalytical and post-structuralist framework. As opposed to a short-term cognitively behavioral driven approach based on a power-driven relationship between client and practitioner and whose objective is not really to put the client in charge of his or her own life (since the question is not about what is really happening for him or her), my approach is specifically tailored towards developing an active desire in both the therapist and client to explore and truly understand the various structures interfering negatively within the client's life, thus helping him or her to become the true agent of his or her own actions.

Helped and guided by the therapist the changes come from the client himself/herself and are therefore long lasting since the meanings have effectively been created by you within a unique therapeutic experience.

This approach is ideal for people who want to be active, independent, responsible and are curious about what is holding them back.

I am practicing in two clinics as well as in my own successful private practice. Sessions can be conducted in English or French.
