Most people experience a life crisis at some point in their life, which can feel overwhelming and isolating. We might feel embarrassed to talk about difficult issues with our friends and families.
Jung celebrated these crises as an opportunity for break-through. This is when a course of supportive, non-judgmental short-term counselling or medium to long-term psychotherapy can be of great help.
If you need help and support with any of the following issues, you have come to the right address.
Life crises - loss of direction, purpose or hope
Depression, stress, general anxiety
Loneliness
Relationship issues
Low self-esteem
Abuse (sexual and/or physical)
Eating disorders
Illness
Loss and bereavement
Trauma, self-harm and dissociation
Spiritual crisis
Madeleine has years of experience of helping people through difficult times and issues. Working from the Heart helps us to understand the greater picture and to feel a sense of belonging. By the end of therapy clients consistently have experienced personal growth and more enjoyment in their lives through our work together.
For an initial session please contact Madeleine or phone 0777 55 20 989 and leave a message (which will be treated as strictly confidential).Qualifications & Training Madeleine Böcker BA (Hons.), Dipl. Psych., MA, MBACP, completed a four-year post-graduate Diploma-course in Transpersonal Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (which is BACP and UKCP accredited) and is is fully UKCP accredited.
Transpersonal Psychotherapy is an integrative approach with a holistic and spiritual dimension, giving the therapist a variety of treatment methods, ranging from Psychodynamic Counselling over CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), TA (Transactional Analysis), Existential and Gestalt Therapy to Jungian and Transpersonal concepts. It aims at balancing mind, body and soul, allowing you to live your life consciously and joyfully.Experience Madeleine worked as an Associate Counsellor at The Tuke Centre, an evidence-based Psychodynamic practice in York for over two years, and has been working transpersonally in private practice in London for six years.
She worked in a group-therapy programme, helping women-survivors of abuse with eating disorders and self-defeating behaviours, co-facilitate an Art Therapy group and also co-facilitated a Gestalt seminar.
Madeleine is experienced at working in extreme situations and on profound issues: In the early 1990s, she supported gay men dying from AIDS during the last year of their lives, dealing with physical illness, social discrimination, loss and the emotional and spiritual problems brought on by the threat of premature death.
She has also been working with people with diagnoses ranging from Clinical and Bi-Polar Depression to Borderline Personality Disorder. Yet, she strongly feels that people do not have to be ill in a medical sense to get involved in this work, but rather see it as a gift to yourself.
Madeleine has a special interest in Family Constellations, trans-generational work, Jungian dream-work and working with the body. Further, she has a background in healing and has a long history of self-development.Fees In the day time, the fee for a 50 minute session is £50.00 (payable cheque or cash), from 6pm onwards is £55.00 for individuals.
