She will work outside Norfolk by special arrangement. Human Givens are what nature has endowed us with, the genetic 'templates' that are expressed as innate emotional and physical needs. Psychological and emotional needs include the need for security, attention, love, connection to the wider community, status, control, autonomy and to be stretched so as to become competent in different areas of our lives. It is being stretched and solving problems that gives us a sense of meaning and fulfilment. Nature gives us the resources to help us meet these needs, such as memory, imagination, problem-solving abilities and the means to become more objective. It is these needs and resources (which are built into our biology) that make up the human givens. Val shares information about what is helpful and why and how to use resources more positively and effectively. Emotionally stuck patterns that prevent people from getting their needs met can be 'normalised' giving people the capacity to get on with their lives - survive and thrive. This therapy is for adults and children who are suffering from emotional difficulties and disorders such as: anger, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, post-natal depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, all kinds of addictions and eating disorders, panic attacks, phobias, fears, insomnia, ME/chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, migraine, psoriasis, eczema, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, out of control emotions, relationship and communication difficulties. Sessions up to 2 hours cost £50 per session (if you live over a 15 mile radius of Aylsham in Norfolk and I am coming to you I charge extra to cover some of the travel costs). The experience will be interesting, pleasant, positive and therapeutic. You may not need many sessions and these can be arranged at intervals and a venue to suit you.
