If you do things the way you always did, you will get what you always got! in other words, if you want different results, you have to make changes.

I am a BACP member and work within their ethical framework. I work with individuals, couples and groups, long and short term.

I use an integrative approach which enables me to draw on a number of therapeutic models according to your needs. The core model underpinning all my work is called Person Centred.

My intention is to always offer empathy, understanding, acceptance and authenticity. I am neither directive nor judgmental but I can certainly be challenging.

I also work in organisations where I specialise in counselling people with mental health issues. I have experience in teaching and have a gained a level 2 certificate in adult education.

Some of the problems I work with are:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Panic attacks
  • Low self esteem
  • Addiction to something such as, Alcohol, Food
  • (OCD) Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Bereavement or loss
  • Redundancy or other work related issues
  • Issues in your marriage or relationship - couples or individuals
  • Being bullied at work or school
  • Post natal depression
  • RTA - road traffic accidents
  • Family concerns and pressures
  • Sexual issues
  • Concerns about your health
  • Problems with your children

I offer both long and short term counselling for individuals.

Counselling and therapy are a means that many people are now using to look at difficulties in their lives. It provides a space to help resolve issues and create a life with more clarity through exploring our hopes, fears, beliefs and the relationships we may have with othersor or ourselves.

Therapy can create a window through which we may see other choices or ways of approaching our past or present problems and behaviours.

Through a confidential and empathic listening and discussion process, it is possible to gain awareness of self and others, which can enable more informed decisions or changes in behaviour.

    Qualifications & Training
I hold certificates in Integrative, Time Limited Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

    Experience
I have been working as a counsellor since 2006.
I have work as an associate member for Mind since 2007 to current - this work is for general counselling.
I have taken many hours of personal development including; TA, Shame, Guilt, Horse's whisper, Creative work, Solution Focused, Disassociation, Morbid Jealousy and many more.

    Fees
I charge £35 for an initial assessment and use a sliding scale of earnings for my fees from £35 to £60 an hour. Couples fees are from £45-75.
