If you would like to feel better than you do now and don't know where to start or what to do, counselling can be a very good first step. Counselling can help you to reflect on your life and recover from difficult experiences. Counselling can give you the opportunity to consider any changes you may want to make. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to feel positive about the future.
The kind of counselling I offer depends on the way you generally prefer to do things and your particular issues. Sessions can range from an opportunity to talk about your concerns in confidence through to working on helpful strategies. I complete a thorough assessment during the first session so we can decide how to ensure that your counselling is therapeutic, appropriate to your needs, and effective. This includes agreeing an appropriate number of sessions to suit you.
