As clients need to feel comfortable with their counsellor or psychotherapist, I offer an initial consultation for clients to check out both the setting and the way I would work with them. If they decide to continue, we have regular weekly sessions until such time as they feel able to continue their lives unaided. Regular reviews are part of the work and we will continually assess how the work we do is changing their situation. With those under 16, I would offer an initial 6 or 12 sessions with a review after 6 sessions. This is important as young people may find it easy to become reliant on therapy. Young people often return for short periods as new challenges arise. Having worked as an Emotional Literacy Trainer for many years, I also offer training to companies looking to improve the quality of the work environment. Working out of a business centre in Braunston, which is on the border between Northamptonshire and Warwickshire and is less than 10 minutes from Junction 18 of the M1, I work with those based in the West and East Midlands.
