I have been working as a counsellor since 1991 and am a Senior Accredited Counsellor with my professional body (BACP). I began working online in 2001 and have recently ceased my face to face practice to concentrate entirely in working over the internet. My areas of special interest include: anxiety including panic attacks, CFS/ME, depression, loss & grief, stress, self-esteem, and relationships.

I am an integrative therapist, using a mix of theories including CBT, psychodynamic and narrative. I see our work as a joint venture to explore and help you discover ways of living which are more personally satisfying and fulfilling. I see my role as supporting and helping you develop skills for dealing with the distress and setbacks that have caused you to seek counselling help.

I provide counselling by email or live internet session using text or webcam. If you find it easier to write than to speak about difficult things, you could find that online text counselling is more effective than face to face sessions as you won't need to sit opposite someone whilst you talk about yourself. If you choose email counselling, you can write and send your emails when you are feeling distressed, you won't have to save it all up inside and wait until your next appointment.

If you live somewhere where there are no counsellors close by or you have someone who depends on you, you will find that it's easier to keep an appointment at your own computer than to travel several miles to a therapist's office.

Please visit my website if you would like more information about me and the way I work.
