I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist, a supervisor and trainer. I established, and am director of, The Therapy Hour.

Derived from an integrative approach to psychological work, my aim is to shape my practice and methodology to the unique needs of each client, rather than attempting to shoehorn people into a pre-determined way of working. The formulation of an individual package based on feedback from the most recent research starts from the very first moment you contact me, when I begin assessing what you might require.

Integral to my work is the need to practise in the context of a real world outside the therapy room. I work with an awareness of the importance of identity and culture in helping to shape a sense of self and therefore welcome work with women, black people, people with disabilities, lesbians, bisexual, gay and transgendered people.

Examples of issues and the type of work I undertake with individuals, couples and family groups include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Panic attacks
  • Anger management
  • Life coaching
  • Eating disorders
  • Bereavement
  • Relationship counselling
  • Adolescent issues

  • Personal growth
  • Phobias
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Borderline Personality Disorder & Emotionally Instability Disorder (Borderline Type)
  • Online & Telephone Counselling

In all the above cases, I work in partnership with relevant general practice and mental health professionals, subject to required confidentiality agreements.
