So how can counselling help you?

Counselling works well with both the everyday problems of living as well as the crises that can happen unexpectedly. Counselling can help you make sense of your life, help make decisions, resolve specific problems, divorce, separation, relationships and many other issues affecting emotional and mental well being.

In the safety of the counselling room, you are encouraged to talk about what is happening for you and together we will find ways of tackling what is overwhelming you.

I use a Humanistic model of counselling and, dependent on people's individual needs, this will include Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Trauma based therapy and Sand Tray Therapy.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and also a member of their Coaching Division and work within their guidelines.

Online, email or Skype counselling offered.

Life coaching or mentoring also available - please see my website for more information.

For an initial assessment and to see how counselling can benefit you please email me, or call or visit my website as mentioned above.

Qualifications & Training
I have a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis and a CPCAB level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

I am also a Graduate of the Chartered institute of Personnel and Development (GCIPD).

Experience
I have successfully worked with individuals, couples and young people looking at issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, abuse, relationship issues, career crises, loss, low self esteem, loneliness, chronic illness and mental health issues. I have lots of experience working with clients within an NHS GP surgery and an HIV charity and a rehabilitation centre as well as clients who have Asperger's syndrome.

Fees
The fee per session is £40 and £45 for couples each session will last for 50 minutes. This can be negotiable in special circumstances.
