I have been working in Dumfries and Galloway since 1993 amd was fully professionally accredited with UKCP in 1998. My main training is as a Transactional Analyst and I have other training in Person Centred, Gestalt and Psychodrama modes. I also use some NLP techniques. Transactional Analysis is an integrative mode of therapy comprising cognitive, behavioural, relational and psychodynamic strands.
I have experience working with issues including relationships, anxiety and low mood, stress, bereavement and loss, personal development, trauma, addiction, low self esteem, psycho-somatic complaints, early developmental issues and family difficulties.
A first session is 1.5 hours. For the first half hour, for which I do not charge, we discuss the problem and get to know each other a little. If after this time we think it is appropriate to work together, we have a session straight away, and for which I do charge.Qualifications & Training

I have worked with individuals, couples and groups in private practice and also in prisons. I have been a supervisor since 1998 and a trainer since 2000. Since 1993 I have worked at various times as a therapist, supervisor and trainer with a voluntary agency.Fees
£40 per full hour of psychotherapy, counselling or supervision.
Reduced fees may be available for those on invalidity benefit, job seeker's allowance or family credit.
Training fees are by negotiation.
