I have initially trained as a psychoanalyst, developing my practice and thinking towards a more psychodynamic approach of intervention. I have experience working within various mental health settings, including psychiatric hospitals and the voluntary sector. I have developed my thinking and practice whilst working in the USA, Brazil and in the UK since 1980s, and have incorporated the cultural context of my clients (or patients) into my understanding of their conflicts.
