There may be times in our lives that things seem difficult to cope with, or understand, or maybe we just need some gentle support with adjusting to changes beyond our control, or even in making positive choices for ourselves. Counselling can enable you to gain a clearer understanding of how and why you feel, think and act as you do. Counsellors do not give advice or tell you what to do. Counselling works by enabling and supporting you to explore and find your own solutions.
I will offer you the time, privacy and support required to explore aspects of your life you may feel you need to understand better or areas in which you would like to grow. Somewhere you can talk comfortably, knowing that I am impartial and unconnected with your everyday life and as someone with who you can share thoughts and feelings. I work in an Integrative Counselling approach which has the basic assumptions that we are naturally social beings with the ability and wish to relate externally to others and internally to ourselves.
Due to the significance of relationships in this approach, the therapeutic relationship between us will be central to the process of counselling.Qualifications & Training Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling
