I am an experienced person-centred counsellor working in South Liverpool, qualified since 1998.
I am an accredited member of the BACP, and as such I am guided by and work within their ethical framework. I offer a professional confidential service.
I believe that the person-centred approach to counselling is particularly powerful, because it gives us the opportunity to be heard and to exlore our difficulties in a safe and non-judgemental space.
This space enables us to get more in touch with the resources we have within us and helps us to grow towards a more satisfying way of living and being.
Counselling has been of great benefit to me in my own life in that it has helped me to grow in confidence and self belief, as well improving my relationships with others.
I have about twenty years experience of working in the social care field, including work in the mental health field, the addictions field, work with women, homeless people, people with learning disabilities, offenders and elderly people.
In addition to my private counselling practise, I have gained my experience working in addictions treatment centre, Rape Crisis, Victim Support, and within a university counselling service.
I offer individual and couples therapy. I am also a trained and experienced group facilitator, although I am not currently running a group in my private practice.Qualifications & Training Advanced Cerificate in Counselling (1996)
